Bill Goldberg revealed on Fight Network Radio that he is in training for a one-off return to wrestling, but hinted it wouldn’t be with WWE or TNA. He started training a couple of weeks ago and is thought to be headed for the Nu-Wrestling Evolution promotion based in Europe, which recently promoted a one-off return for the Ultimate Warrior during a show in Spain.
Here is the artwork for WWE’s upcoming Eddie Guerrero DVD set, due for release in November:

The Miami Herald has an interview with Kofi Kingston up on their website. He talks about how he has adjusted to life as a celebrity in WWE, his relationship with the fans and those who inspired him to get into wrestling, in particular Ricky Steamboat. “‘I absolutely talk to Ricky Steamboat in the back. There are lots of people in the back who were wrestlers back in the day, and you’d be a fool not to pick their brains. They’ve forgotten more stuff than I’ll ever know. I always try to go and pick everybody’s brain. Ricky Steamboat is kind of the person who I strive to be because he is one of the greatest of all time. He’s up there weekly, consistently, helping wrestlers out, giving people advice. So I always talked to him before and after my matches to see what he thought and what I could do to improve. He is always very helpful.”
In his latest column for The Sun, Paul Heyman puts over Ric Flair and says that the man deserves better treatment in the twilight of his career. “It’s sad to see Flair advertised for some low rent wrestling shows at this stage of his life. He should really be above that. I don’t know what his take will be in 12 months, but unless it’s significantly above the half million dollars he was making from Vince McMahon, I just don’t understand what he’s trying to accomplish.”
I guess Goldberg really does wanna be like Warrior after all.
Meanwhile, Heyman used to manage and promote a wrestler who would say, “Flair is dead.”
On Flair, speaking for the indy promoters here in the Carolina’s (know a few and have been talking to them) All are more than willing to pay the 7500 dollars Flair is asking for to simply appear for autograph signings. What is Flair trying to accomplish? He got upset due to not being allowed to attend the NWA Hall of Fame ceremony where he was to be inducted. Not to mention the man’s extreme love for the business. I guess Heyman has “lost his smile” though and has forgotten how much some do actually love the “sport of kings”
Now we will get Orlando Jordan v. Goldberg, right?
One can only hope!
To me there are 4 options for Goldberg if it isn’t TNA or WWE:
NWE in Europe: (the federation where Warrior returned)
AAA in Mexico: They have had a large US contingent and had lashley at one point.
IGF in Japan: Inoki loves big name gaijin. Lesnar, ANgle, Booker T, Barnett, RVD, and LAshley have all turned up. Large reported crowd numbers and Inoki’s questionable financial backers make this quite likely.
Hustle: Big outside bet but they love big guys and have Sapp. Plus, would probably be prepared to spend the money.
Goldberg Vs. Sapp would make for an interesting matchup.
ROH!
There is zero chance of it being ROH. If not Europe, its gotta be Inoki Genome.
