01. This was an especially good edition of Extreme Championship Wrestling that no wrestling fan should have missed. Any fans out there who didn’t catch it should go out of there way to find and download it.
02. You know some people might complain about an hour long wrestling program that only had two matches but I would consider that nitpicking of the worst order. Evan Bourne/Chavo Guerrero and Finlay/John Morrison were both better than they had any right to be and I love almost every second of it.
03. Mark Henry looked as awesome as his ECW usual and once again the WWE used him properly in the right role: Breakin’ fools down!
04. After reading spoilers for Smackdown, Bourne/Chavo is easily going to be the best match that the WWE will have put on for the week.
05. Evan Bourne’s last second jumping top rope hurricanrana was breathtaking. Truly breathtaking. Watching him bust it out on free TV is a gift for everyone and should not be taken for granted.
06. The crowd, although uneven at the start, became pure SMARK! during the Finlay/Morrison match with chants of “Johnny Nitro!”. That was refreshing and awesome to hear. The fans really have to be retrained to respond accordingly and awesomely instead of sitting there like cows grazing. Some videos promos would do the trick.
07. Finlay/Morrison wasn’t as good as Bourne/Chavo, but it could have been. It’s obvious they wanted to get the Cryme Time/Dirt Sheet crew in a feud and this was a good place to keep it going. Nevertheless it was a shame to see such a good match dirtied by outside booking.
08. Morrison will be WWE/Heavyweight champion.
09. Matt Striker is the best play by play guy in the industry right now. Intelligent, witty, and an all around knowledgeable persona who gets across storylines, background, and various other miscellaneous ideas without even a hint of forcefulness behind them. He isn’t perfect yet but the guy has only been on the job for 5 months. In a year’s time I can’t see anyone coming close to him on the announcer’s table.
