ProWrestling.net is reporting that Ric Flair is about to sign a new WWE contract and go back to being a “WWE Ambassador”. Flair gave up that title when he thought he could make more money working for other organizations. It is still not clear whether Flair will be able to to work the proposed matches overseas. It seems like Ric Flair left ROH in a tight spot when he let them know that couldn’t appear on camera just hours before last week’s TV taping was about to start.

Anyone think Flair talking about coming out of retirement could have been a work? Think about the timeline:
- Ric leaves WWE supposedly because he can make more money in the indies (and get Reid bookings)
- Reid gets arrested and won’t be wrestling anytime soon
- Ric starts talking about the amount of money he’s going to make wrestling overseas
- WWE doesn’t want him to wrestle so future retirement matches look legit, so they offer him a new contract
