Bobby Lashley Contract Update
by Iain Burnside - June 13, 2009 | Email the author

Bobby Lashley announced on the Hit the Ropes radio show that an announcement regarding his future with TNA will be made in the coming weeks. “I had some sit-downs with Dixie Carter. We’re working something into the (Main Event Mafia) angle to be part of their show,” Lashley said. “Being a professional wrestler is in your blood. Wish I never left it in the first place, but under the circumstances, I did.” Lashley has an MMA fight with Bob Sapp scheduled for June 27th and ruled out a potential return to WWE afterwards. “I’d rather not talk about it too much,” Lashley said in reference to his controversial departure from WWE. “I’ve been in talks with TNA. If people are going to see me coming back, it’s probably going be with TNA.” Lashley also revealed that his management had convinced him not to pursue a potential appearance on The Ultimate Fighter, which recently signed Kimbo Slice to the upcoming season. “Wouldn’t do anything for my career. Not going that route. Would have loved to have been on the show just to fight, but have to go with the people who are directing my career right now.”
