According to PWInsider.com, Angelina Love was released from TNA yesterday. While this might be shocking, there is a very good reason behind it. Love has been working under the same work visa from when she was employed by WWE (at OVW), however she never properly renewed it, and now she will no longer be able to work in the US until she is able to attain a new one. TNA’s legal department had their hands tied on this.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the storylines, as Love, along with Velvet Sky, are in the finals of the TNA Knockout Tag Team Title Tournament at the next PPV, No Surrender.

UPDATE – Saturday 9/5/09: Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com has updated the above with this statement: “One source within WWE contacted me yesterday to state that couldn’t have been the case as that visa was revoked when she was let go, so it appears I may have been incorrect in that aspect of the report.” Either way, TNA has removed her profile from its roster page on its website.
