ROH News 09.28.2009 – Cornette’s return, Eddie Edwards injury, DVD sale
By Ricardo Rochetti - September 29, 2009 | Email the author

The following news items were posted on the September 28th edition of the ROH Newswire:

As was reported on Big Andy Mac’s live review of Glory By Honor VIII, Jim Cornette made his ROH return this past Saturday in NYC. Cornette has officially been named Executive Producer of ROH on HDNet, and will be on hand for the TV tapings in Philadelphia on November 5th and 6th. ROH has posted an article on Cornette’s return, as well as a short video showing the reaction Cornette received in New York.

As Brad Curran posted earlier today, ROH has posted an update on Eddie Edwards’ broken elbow (an injury he suffered on Friday during his Street Fight with Kevin Steen), his decision to compete in Ladder War the next night, his upcoming surgery, the state of the ROH Tag Team titles, and resulting card changes.

ROH’s “Buy 2, Get 3 Free” DVD Sale will continue until Wednesday at noon EST. Click here for details on how the sale works.

ROH has posted thank-yous regarding this weekend’s shows, both to the fans in Boston and New York and to Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness:

We at Ring of Honor want to go on record to thank the fans of Boston, for a record crowd on Friday and an amazing enthusiasm, and the fans of New York, for helping us sell out and for being unbelievable once again. We couldn’t have hoped for two better nights with two better crowds. Thank you all very much! This past weekend was truly special for a variety of reasons, but mostly so for the wonderful celebration of the ROH careers of Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness. Although it’s been said, we can’t stress it enough. Thank you to Bryan and Nigel. For your dedication, your resolve to be great, your passion, and your unparalleled professionalism. Our locker room is better from having you both in it, and we know that locker rooms going forward will come to feel precisely the same. We miss you both already.
