In his latest blog post, Jim Ross explains why Michael Cole Cole replaced him behind the Smackdown announce table this week. JR got the week off to celebrate his 16th wedding anniversary and attend the Oklahoma-Texas football game. With Cole, the original “Voice of Smackdown”, substituting for Ross this week the show promises to be vintage Smackdown.
JR also addressed his contract status in his own site recently. Answering a fan’s question, Ross said that his current WWE contract expires in December and while no serious negotiations have taken place, both sides want him to stick around.
