Hogan Drops Huge Names For Possible Jumps To TNA
By Brad Curran - November 9, 2009 | Email the author

ProWrestling.Net’s Jason Powell reports that Hulk Hogan dropped two huge names for legends who could join him in TNA when he was on the Bubba the Love Sponge Radio Show: the Nasty Boys. Oh, and Stone Cold Steve Austin and Macho Man Randy Savage, too.

Powell is taking this with the requisite grain of salt:

At this point, there’s no reason to believe Hogan is going to be booking the show. Yes, he’ll have creative control over his own character, but there’s a big difference between that and actually booking the company. Austin is a pipe dream, and there’s no telling whether Savage has any interest in working at this point in his career.

That said, the Nasty Boys are likely! Can’t wait for that dream match with Team 3D (which could have been awesome in ECW, mind you)!

  1. On Hogan Knows Best wasn’t it Saggs that couldn’t even walk without support of crutches? Fuck off, orange devil.

  2. Hogan is still the biggest blowhard the business has ever known.

You would think being the most famous, celebrated wrestler who ever lived would be enough for him.

  3. Nasty Boys vs. 3D is a dream garbage brawl, if you indeed dream of garbage brawls.

  4. Nasty Boyz v. the Dudley Boyz (Team 3D). This would have been a dream match 10 years ago when the Dudleys were in their prime, and the Nastys were about 5 years past their prime. Today it will probably be just sad. However, I can still live with that kind of feud as long as Ed Leslie never EVER gets a job in TNA, or at least not one that involves him actually being on camera.

  5. If Austin joins TNA I’ll eat my keyboard.

Any of Hogan’s actual buddies would not shock me though. But the only “big” names I was thinking TNA could actually bring in via Hogan to continue WCW-fying TNA was Flair and Goldberg.

  6. What a idiot, Austin will not wrestle for TNA he make more money not wrestling for WWE….. and plus he hates Hogan he can not stand him. Austin cant even wrestle anymore….. Savage is farrrrrrr past being 5 years past his prime haha….. Savage is asking such a ridcules price no one but WWE can match it and he isnt even worth close to it, plus he hates Hogan even more than Austin…. Hogan is running his mouth and being a complete idiot, TNA should put him in his place, he is bragging already and he wasnt even there for a month.

  8. Hogan is a blowhard. I’m convinced the man has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The man is legitimately the unquestioned biggest star ever in the entire history of professional wrestling. One would think that’s goo enough, but no, he has to embellish ever story.

Wrestlemania 3: Andre the Giant is dying and Vince McMahon convinces him to put over Hulk Hogan to make sure his legacy will never fade.

Hogan Version of It: Everyone thought the match was going to be a shoot. There were times in the match where Andre didn’t cooperate. It wasn’t until Andre felt the fans and knew that Hogan was such a great guy that he laid down for him.

I have to say, I never really was one of those smarks who hated on him. Was he a blowhard? Sure. But it was funny and you could laugh at him.

When that phone conversation he had with his little murderer son came out where they talked about how it was the victim’s fault because he wasn’t “right with God” I actually have now gone to the point where I am wishing the absolute worst of diseases on him. He is a wretched human being.

  10. Powell who? I’m getting a real kick out of all the speculation and “inside knowledge” being spread in the internet…pretty funny.

  11. Reneke, you forgot to mention how Andre was 8-feet-tall and weighed over 1,000 lbs.

  12. I wouldn’t mind the Nasty Boys having a match in TNA, so long as they jobbed and the signing was an RVD-special.
