PW Torch’s James Caldwell has news on Raw’s new theme song. It will be Nickleback’s “Burn it to the Ground.” He’s embedded a video of the band performing the song live for your perusal.
Jim Ross passes along what he’s been hearing about Wrestlemania ticket sales. He says that WWE sold between “35-40,000″ Wrestlemania 26 tickets over the weekend. He stresses that this is an unofficial tally and not something he’s quoting from WWE, but he believes he’s close. He also blogs about Fedor, Jeremy Shockey’s potential as a WWE Superstar, and more.
WWE.com is running a story about Jamie Noble considering retirement due to the beatings he’s been taking from Sheamus:
“Luckily, the doctors tell me I’m going to recover again. But I’m laying here thinkin’ about how great my life is with my wife and my son. I’m thinkin’, how many more times am I gonna be lucky enough to walk out of the hospital on my own? I’m thinkin’ it might be time to hang up my tights and boots.”
Noble also mentions the injuries he’s suffered at the hands of Mike Knox and Chuck Palumbo, which is nice attention to detail if nothing else.
Really, Nickelback?
I thought the Papa Roach song was a perfect fit for RAW, it was fast-tempo and set the mood for the show, and it wasn’t too cock-rocky.
When I first heard about a week or two ago that Nickelback were providing the new “RAW” theme song, all I could think was, “Are they trying to get me to stop watching?!”
Nothing gets me more pumped and ready to watch wrestling than a song sung by gay Jesus… I mean Chad Kroger
i don’t like new raw theme song.
