WWE Smackdown Spoilers
By Iain Burnside - November 18, 2009 | Email the author

- Batista beats Matt Hardy.

- Teddy Long meets with Vickie Guerrero and Eric Escobar. Vince McMahon saunters in and makes Vickie into Teddy’s new consultant. Vickie squeals with delight.

- Drew McIntyre beats Finlay.

- C.M. Punk stages a straight-edge intervention. There are three buckets on a table in the ring and under each bucket is an item – cigarettes, prescription pills and a bottle of whisky. He goes through each one, explaining why it is bad for you and throwing it in the trash. R-Truth attacks Punk and dumps the trash can over him, covering him in fags, booze and pills.

- John Morrison beats Dolph Ziggler in a 2 out of 3 falls match to retain the Intercontinental Title.

- Batista vows to make Rey Mysterio suffer at the Survivor Series.

- Mickie James beats Layla. Afterwards there is a Michelle McCool video of her dressed up as Piggy James, a farmer, singing Old McDonald with a pig that has Mickie’s face on it. Mickie cries and runs off.

- Tyson Kidd beats Rey Mysterio by DQ. Batista was on commentary and hit Kidd to draw the DQ. He then tries to attack Mysterio but is thwarted.

- Chris Jericho and Big Show discuss the main event. Show accuses Jericho of being scared of the Undertaker and walks away. The lights go out and Jericho freaks out. Show returns and turns the lights back on, saying he proved his point.

- Chris Jericho & Big Show and Kane & The Undertaker go to a no-contest. Show took out Kane and Taker but then Jericho hit him with the codebreaker and posed with the title belts.

WOW, that’s a GREAT message to send to all these kids you’re trying to attract. “Go for the anorexic look (with implants, when you’re old enough) like these girls, or you’re a big fat pig” WWE should really stop trying to be kid-friendly, they never learned how to do it right.

  6. I’m with Creed on this one. It sounds like the segment was just generally not thought out. If Mickie doesn’t beat Michelle for the belt then segments such as this one do nothing but make Mickie look week and unattractive. I wonder how WWE creative approached Mickie with this segment idea.

  7. Vince probably lets a few non PG things slide as long as he gets a laugh out of it.
