Round #22

David Brashear of New Generation Wrestling (NGW) selects Richie Steamboat.

NGW lives up to its name as it selects Ricky Steamboat Jr., a true new generation superstar. The son of Ricky Steamboat, Ricky has trained extensively with Harley Race and has also received additional training in the NOAH dojo in Japan. Ricky has all the tools he needs to excel in the wrestling business. All he needs is the opportunity, and NGW is more than willing to provide him with that.

Michael O’Mahony of Lost Art Wrestling (LAW) selects Misaki Ohata.

An inexperienced yet eye-catching worker with a nice line in submissions, Ohata is something of a wildcard pick for LAW. Based on what we’ve seen of her, we believe that being exposed to both more seasoned female workers and a promotion of a different caliber than the Japanese indies will bring out her best to give us a strong and unique fan favorite.

Anthony Perillo of Full Force Wrestling (FFW) selects Rhyno (formerly known as Rhino).

Rhyno has fallen into an endless abyss in TNA within the past few years, mostly putting over younger talent. The “War Machine” is a two-time world heavyweight champion, having won both the ECW and NWA World Heavyweight Championships, and is also a three-time WWF Hardcore Champion, a two-time (and the final) ECW World Television Champion and a one-time WCW United States Champion, the latter of which he won in the WWF during the “Invasion” storyline. As evidenced by being drafted in one of the last rounds, it can be assumed that Rhino has been forgotten about by most wrestling fans. FFW certainly has chosen not to overlook Rhyno’s abilities, though, and he will play a big role in the company’s heavyweight division.

Grey Scherl of Real Ass Pro Wrestling (RAPW) selects Sheik Abdul Bashir.

We like him, and have since he was Muhammed Hassan’s mouthpiece. If anything, his TNA run has proven that he can work a match, so we figure, hey, why not? He’ll make a good fit.

Raffi Shamir of Just Pro Wrestling (JPW) selects Kid Kash.

Formerly in ECW, TNA and WWE, Kid Kash was one of the better heel crusierweights out there. He’s been away from the public eye recently, working the indy circuits. Kash can still bring it in the ring, and JPW will give him the opportunity to proven that.

Steven Gepp of Generic Wrestling Promotion #25 (GNW-25) selects Val Venis.

Whether Val Venis or under his own name, Morley will surely entertain. Appearing currently with the Hulk Hogan Australian Touring troupe, he still looks the goods. A former champion, he brings some great experience to the locker-room. He will make a great addition to our roster… Helloooo, laaaydies!

Mark Allen of Prime Championship Wrestling (PCW) selects Lince Dorado.

“The Golden Lynx” is a favorite on the independent circuit with his high-flying abilities and put together gimmick. PCW is proud to add Lince to their burgeoning cruiserweight division where he will battle with top stars from the world over.

Aaron Glazer of Pro Wrestling Company (PWC) selects Shuji Kondo.

The best big junior in the world is responsible for the best ever singles matches of Chris Sabin and Katsuhiko Nakajima. How will this beast compete in PWC’s junior division.

Big Andy Mac of International World Class All Star Professional Championship Wrestling Global Alliance and Grappling Arts Federation Unlimited (IWCASPCWGAAGAFU) selects Jamie Noble.

Noble is one of the best cruiserweights in the world, when allowed to show off his wares. He also has the ability to work as an agent helping out with younger wrestlers. While it will be more his in ring skill put to use, he will regardless be a huge addition to the fed with a really long name.

Round #23

Big Andy Mac of International World Class All Star Professional Championship Wrestling Global Alliance and Grappling Arts Federation Unlimited (IWCASPCWGAAGAFU) selects Player Uno and Player Dos, the Super Smash Brothers.

While at first glance these two might seem out of place for their comedic antics their exciting matches will be right at home in the fed with a really long name.

Aaron Glazer of Pro Wrestling Company (PWC) selects Ricky Marvin.

The best flier in the world is a pro-wrestling NOAH mainstay, one of the few capable of a full time career in Japan although not a native, and extrmeley successful tag wrestler, Ricky Marvin.

Mark Allen of Prime Championship Wrestling (PCW) selects Curt Hawkins.

The “forgotten Major Brother” is a talented athlete in his own right, but has gotten left in the dark thanks to the ascension of Zack Ryder. With Hawkins joining Ryder on the PCW roster, will he be there as an ally…or a foe?

Steven Gepp of Generic Wrestling Promotion #25 (GNW-25) selects Ace Wilson.

Another large man and a strong one, Ace is a young wrestler with a big future. He has already held the SPW championship despite only a handful of years’ experience. He is also mobile for such a big man and is improving all the time. Here are some match highlights featuring Ace, showing his power and ability. We believe that the environment at GNW-25 will bring out the best in the Assassin, and we wait to see just how good he could truly become.

Raffi Shamir of Just Pro Wrestling (JPW) selects ODB.

The current TNA Knockouts champion was also the first OVW Women’s Champion, a title she created herself. ODB proved she can break new ground wherever she goes and will be a major part of JPW’s Women’s division.

Grey Scherl of Real Ass Pro Wrestling (RAPW) selects Ezekiel Jackson.

Ever since an interview with Mike Bucci last year, I’ve been a fan of his. To know that he’s truly dedicated to his craft, that he wants to study and learn the business. His time on ECW has seen him improve by leaps and bounds, and I’m sure he’ll grow into an even better performer. He has that rare and awesome drive to be better, and not just to be on the top of the card. He’ll definitely go far.

Anthony Perillo of Full Force Wrestling (FFW) selects Daizee Haze.

Some hate her and some love her. Regardless of one’s opinion on Daizee Haze, though, it is hard to deny that she is one of the rising stars in female wrestling. Her matches against Sara Del Rey in CHIKARA this year have been a lot of fun. Even though the angle may be a little strange, Daizee has also done a nice job with Delirious in his current Ring of Honor storyline. With all that taken into consideration, FFW proudly welcomes Daizee Haze onto their roster.

Michael O’Mahony of Lost Art Wrestling (LAW) selects Daffney.

Although her name isn’t usually mentioned in the same breath as some of the more technically gifted female performers, Daffney is an accomplished in-ring talent with a gift for the kind of brawling not often seen in women’s wrestling and a great character she plays very well. LAW is delighted to add her to its roster.

David Brashear of New Generation Wrestling (NGW) selects MIKAMI.

Although MIKAMI is not well known in the United States, he is a star in Japan, where is he called the Japanese Jeff Hardy. A high-flying daredevil, MIKAMI has won title after title in his home of DDT. Now he seeks to bring his skills to NGW. Will he be able to add the NGW cruiserweight gold to his collection?

Round #24

David Brashear of New Generation Wrestling (NGW) selects Alex Koslov.

Muscovite Alex Koslov made his debut in the So-Cal area before he gained notice after his performance in the 2008 ECWA Super 8 Tournament. Koslov headed south of the border to Mexico, where has competed in both AAA and CMLL. Although Koslov has returned to the United States for Ring of Honor appearances, he has yet to win any US gold. Will the NGW cruiserweight title be his next conquest?

Michael O’Mahony of Lost Art Wrestling (LAW) selects BxB Hulk.

The man with the Best Entrance In All Of Wrestling (seriously, YouTube it) is a flashy, charismatic showman whose absurd gimmick will no doubt make him a cult favorite with the LAW audience, while his undeniable in-ring talent and array of variations on the Emerald Fusion should cement his place on the roster.

Anthony Perillo of Full Force Wrestling (FFW) selects Frightmare.

Aside from “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush, Frightmare may be my favorite professional wrestler in the world right now. Despite the fact that he has been wrestling for a little over a year now, he has quickly become one of CHIKARA’s brightest young stars. Even though he will not have his usual partner, Hallowicked, at his side, Full Force Wrestling is confident that Frightmare will be able to hold his own as a singles competitor.

Grey Scherl of Real Ass Pro Wrestling (RAPW) selects Nick Dinsmore (formerly known as U-Gene).

Sure, most people know him best as Eugene, the lovable retard, but I’d rather take the man behind the crappy gimmick. I’ve seen tapes of him in OCW, and he’d pretty entertaining. Should make for a good hand to have on deck.

Raffi Shamir of Just Pro Wrestling (JPW) selects Necro Butcher.

While the people behind JPW are not big fans of deathmatches and extreme hardcore matches, to have one of those once in a very long while can be fun. And who’s better in North American than Necro Butcher, the man who made his name in CZW and now works for ROH. Butcher also had a nice cameo in the modern classic movie The Wrestler, where he showcased his craft with Mickey Rourke. If you’re looking for blood in JPW, Necro Butcher is sure to provide it.

Steven Gepp of Generic Wrestling Promotion #25 (GNW-25) selects Wolfdogg (color commentator).

Wolfdogg for years was the voice of professional wrestling in South Australia. His recent return to the ring as full-time competitor has curtailed his career behind the mic, but that is where we want him (as good in the ring as he is). He has the added bonus of being a fine play-by-play commentator, so if JR is indisposed in some way he can just as easily step into that role as well. His knowledge of wrestling is extensive and his passion for the sport undisputable. Here is Wolfdogg wrestling. Welcome to the broadcast booth, Wolfdogg!

Mark Allen of Prime Championship Wrestling (PCW) selects Brett DiBiase.

The youngest of the DiBiase clan has not had a real chance to make his name on the national spotlight but PCW is confident that the young DiBiase will be able to use PCW as a springboard to great heights in the wrestling industry.

Aaron Glazer of Pro Wrestling Company (PWC) selects Lance Russell (play-by-play commentator).

He’s the voice of Memphis, someone with great expertise in both calling technical matches, conveying excitement and getting over angles.

Round #25

Big Andy Mac of International World Class All Star Professional Championship Wrestling Global Alliance and Grappling Arts Federation Unlimited (IWCASPCWGAAGAFU) selects Gabe Sapolsky (play-by-play commentator).

With its last pick in the draft IWCASPCWGAAGAFU rounds out its commentary team. This person has been known as Chris Lovey, Jimmy Bauer, and as one of the greatest wrestling minds of this decade. He will be coming into the booth under his given name though. The fed with the long name welcomes Gabe Sapolsky to the announce booth. I just have one more word to say DAAAANNNGGEERROOOOUUUSSSS!!!!!

Aaron Glazer of Pro Wrestling Company (PWC) selects Milano Collection A.T.

Milano is one of the better and flashier juniors in the world, a combination which is sure to get him over. He’s also expereinced many companies around the world working the Lucha flavor of Chikara, the American indy flavor of ROH, the fast pace of Dragon Gate, and finally the stiffer style of New Japan.

Mark Allen of Prime Championship Wrestling (PCW) selects X-Pac (formerly known as Sean Waltman).

While X-Pac may not be the star he used to be, after seeing him personally in action just a month of two ago it is evident he still has all the tools to go in the ring when he is properly motivated. This perhaps could be Sean Waltman’s last chance at main event glory.

Steven Gepp of Generic Wrestling Promotion #25 (GNW-25) selects Freddy Fuzion.

Fuzion has not been wrestling for a long time, but he has become quite the institution in the RCW ring. While he might look like Iron Mike Sharpe (with a beard and without the arm cast), he wrestles more like a smaller version of William Regal. Power moves and solid mat wrestling are his staple. Here is an old video of highlights of his match against VooDoo; he has improved HUGELY since this was put together, both in skills and ring presence. And we are glad to have him ripping up the world in GNW-25 as our final selection!

Raffi Shamir of Just Pro Wrestling (JPW) selects Shannon Moore.

The Prince of Punk is the perfect human punching bag. What ever you throw at him he will just say “thank you sir may I have another”. Every promotion needs a wrestler of this type and they don’t come any better than Shannon Moore.

Grey Scherl of Real Ass Pro Wrestling (RAPW) selects Consequences Creed.

Anthony Perillo of Full Force Wrestling (FFW) selects Mil Mongoose.

Chances are that you have never heard of Mil Mongoose. I hadn’t before, either, until I recently looked into Okinawa Pro. Mongoose has the gimmick of a mongoose. Who would have guessed? All jokes aside, though, Mil Mongoose is actually a pretty decent worker. Unmasked, he is Tomoya Kikunawa, one of Osaka Pro’s most promising rookies. Like him or not, FFW will certainly have an interesting role for Mil Mongoose on their roster and are more than proud to have him in as their final draft pick.

Michael O’Mahony of Lost Art Wrestling (LAW) selects Satoshi Kojima.

Satoshi Kojima, the current and two-time Triple Crown Champion, former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, and multiple tag champ in both NJPW and AJPW, is hardly scraping the bottom of the barrel. Kojima brings prestige, experience, skill, and his particular brand of intensity to LAW’s rings, where we have no doubt that his hard-hitting offense (that lariat in particular) will win him plenty of fans.

David Brashear of New Generation Wrestling (NGW) selects Bruno Sammartino (general manager).

Although he has been out of the ring for decades, he still represents the best in wrestling. As a former two time world champion who held the belt for over ten years, he expects nothing but the best in wrestling. As the NGW GM, he will expect the rules to be followed and if they are broken there will be swift consequences.

Trade block

International World Class All Star Professional Championship Wrestling Global Alliance and Grappling Arts Federation Unlimited has sent Naruki Doi and Masato Yoshino, Speed Muscle, to Full Force Wrestling in exchange for Teddy Hart and Jack Evans, the Hart Foundation 2.0. Both, Andy Mac and Perillo, wish their former employees the best in their future endeavors.

Full Force Wrestling has sent Kurt Angle and Katsuhiko Nakajima to Pro Wrestling Company in exchange for Dolph Ziggler and Go Shiozaki. Both, Perillo and Glazer, wish their former employees the best in their future endeavors.

Now that wrestlers have been drafted to each respective roster, each staff member that is running the promotion must come up with the challenge to write a debut show with the wrestling personalities they have selected. Readers will then vote on which shows are their favorites. The four writers that receive the most votes will advance onto round two. Then, the two winners of round two will advance to the finals to display their individual pay-per-view events.

More details on the voting process, as well as actual shows, will be posted in the next Pulse Wrestling Fantasy Draft update later on next week. Thanks for your patience.

  1. Wow, good stuff!

My personal favorite rosters are the GNW-25, JPW, and the RAPW

As an aside, how can you draft Madden to do commentary and not draft Booker T for some spin-a-roonie action.

BTW, Did Booker T kill someone or retire? I can’t believe he wasn’t drafted at all. I mean IWC used to love him, and he isn’t that old. Hell, with my 25th pick, I’d take a chance on Jeff Hardy. He isn’t in jail yet (therefore can work), and may only get a year or two, when (if) he does go to jail. A lot of “funny” gimicks to be had there.

Others I would think would have been drafted:
    Sanjay Dutt
    Eric Young
    Trish Stratus (wrestler or GM)
Shane o’Mac (awesome GM possiblities there, and unemployed)

  2. very good calls LOLWUT I was wondering the same things. Someone picked DoubleJ, I mean come on! Double J kills pushes faster than anyone

  3. Jeff Hardy, Trish Stratus, and Shane McMahon are all inactive wrestler and thus, were made ineligible to be drafted in wrestling roles.

  4. I can’t wait to read these shows. Aside from ROG, it will be better than anything on TV. Some thoughts on the draft.

No one took UltraMantis Black? Guy is good in the ring, great on the mic.

Someone took Big Rob? Really? A roid monster like that? Lame.

And where is the love for Chuck Taylor? Tim Donst? Young guys that can talk and go.

And a ps, As much as I love A Double, I want Colt Cabana to take the title this coming weekend. Its time for Colt to have the strap. He has earned it.

  5. BxB Hulk has the best _current_ intro, maybe. But it’s just a copy of Sugar Shane Helms and the Sugar Babies

All 3 of these guys wrestled in the last year or so. They may be without a contract/”retired”, but I’ve seen people come out of retirement for the right situation. Besides, Shane o’mac is just for GM anyways.
Besides as one of the posters mentioned Double J was taken and his wrestling status is always vague.
