WWE Smackdown Spoilers, Smackdown Elimination Chamber Match Set

The following has been cobbled of of Twitter from Stratusfied! And I think we’re gonna be the first site with a Smackdown spoilers update. So eat it, legitimate sites.

Chris Jericho starts off the show cutting a promo on Edge, saying Edge didn’t deserve the shot and will get his.

Edge and Christian have a backstage segment, probably about Edge considering challenging for the soon to be defunct ECW title and then both of them sharing a laugh over that.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: John Morrison defeats Kane.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: R Truth defeat Mike Knox

Backstage segment with the Straight Edge Society. CM Punk challenge Gallows and Serena to help him defeat Batista.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: CM Punk defeats Batista by count out.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Chris Jericho defeats Fat Hardy, Version Fudge.

Beth Phoenix and Mickie James fight LayCool.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Rey Mysterio defeats Dolph Ziggler

Main event is The Cutting Edge, hosted by Edge! Chris Jericho and CM Punk interrupt, and just when they are about to attack Edge the lights go out and the Undertaker appears in the ring! Edge and Undertaker clear the ring and stare one another down. Then, of course, they hug and slow dance.

So the Elimination Chamber match for Smackdown is Undertaker defending against CM Punk, Chris Jericho, John Morrison, Rey Mysterio and R Truth.

maybe they go crazy and let Morrison win. Really I’d buy Wrestlemania if any of the challengers win except Mysterio and R-Truth. I am happy for Killings as he is the first TNA champ to get a shot at the WWE heavyweight title so that means they can give a TNA guy a chance. Yes, I know he was K-Kwick but his success was from TNA as a two time champ. Christian was mostly a WWE guy and ECW champ really doesn’t count. lol. WWE is doing some new things and I find them compelling right now. I guess competition does cause them to turn on the jets

Jericho’s winning the Smackdown EC match. That sets up Edge vs. Jericho for WM as the start of a summer-long feud, Taker/HBK 2 is then opened up for WM, and win or lose Taker is gone for a while due to his hip problem, and Cena/Batista 2 is going to happen as a proxy for the Bret Hart/Vince feud.

I’m less certain what they’ll do with the Raw title. DiBiase vs. Sheamus is the ballsy way to go, if they really want to push those two as stars. My guess is that doesn’t happen. We could end up with a Sheamus/DiBiase/HHH 3-way, or add Orton in for a 4-way. Or possibly Sheamus vs. HHH and Orton vs. Legacy matches.

100% guarantee that DX is dropping the tag titles on the next episode of Raw, probably through miscommunication, which amps up the tension for a HHH/Shawn feud post-WM.

Eric, more likely Vince will get him in one of the two elim chambers as the fee for Batista being his hired thug against Bret. It’s be a way to do it without repeating the Edge bit.

I really really really hope that R Truth can pull out a big performance in this match and go on to the last 2 guys or something, however i think Jericho will win the title and do a Jericho vs Edge Match at MANIA, micheals may interfere SCM the undertaker to set up a wrestlmania match for them 2. R Truth to go to Money in the Bank, and Mysterio and Punk to start Fued that goes on till Wrestlmania, Morrison, Y2J, Truth should be last 3. R TRUTH HOPING FOR WIN if obv Jericho is realsistic option

If Batista is going to be shoe horned in, I think it will be at the expense of R-Truth. Wasn’t it him last time who was disposed at the expense of Edge? He does seem to be the squash material for this kind of thing.

I still feel that HHH/Michaels will happen at Wrestlemania. I think they’re touting the heel turn too much for it not to happen. Hopefully they lose the belts to Punk/Gallows on Monday’s RAW via some mistake. Then maybe HHH costs Michaels the win in the Elimination Chamber causing the turn and a WM feud.

I’m not sure who will win. They worryingly seem to be touting a face turn for Edge, which just wouldn’t work. I can’t see Jericho winning either after he jobbed to R-Truth. Would Edge/Taker get the sales that McMahon needed? Debateable.

edge/taker is just like michaels/taker. saw it once, don’t wanna see it again. Wrestlemainia is BIG. it sets things up for the next year. they need to show something new and totally unexpected. not something like santino winning the wwe championship, but still something unexpected. like if orton intrferes in a match it should be in FAVOR of cena! THAT would be unexpected!

Truth has been getting a bit of a push, he’s pinned Jericho on two straight Smackdowns and showed well in the Rumble. I could still see Batista getting in over him, or maybe Batista takes out Rey again.

I’d rather see them keep the chamber matches as they are right now. Last year, when Edge beat down Kofi to get himself into the RAW chamber match, it was fresh and exciting. If they do it again, it’ll be repetitive, not to mention set a bad precedent from a kayfabe standpoint, where guys are running around the back beating down chamber contestants in order to weasel their way into the match.

But yes, if anybody is going to get beat down and lose his spot in a chamber match, it would probably be R-Truth. Could be to Michaels. Could be to Batista. We’ll see.
