WWE Remembers 9/11
by Travis Leamons on September 11, 2011

Over the weekend, WWE.com posted an article reflecting back at the 9/13/01 live edition of SmackDown! For those who purchased The Best of SmackDown! 10th Anniversary 1999-2009 and watched it in its entirety then you know that the live SmackDown! event, which transpired at the Toyota Center in Houston, Tex., was selected as #1 in the Best Of countdown. And it was more than deserving. Not only was it the first WWE TV to occur after 9/11, it was the first major public gathering of its size anywhere.

Below you can watch a tribute video that includes Lillian Garcia singing our National Anthem, plus The Rock singing our Pledge of Allegiance days after Seal Team Six killed Osama Bin Laden.
