Chris Jericho Comments on the Hectic WWE Monday Night Raw Battle Royal that Closed This Week’s Show
by CB on February 22, 2012

Chris Jericho took to Twitter to discuss the hectic WWE Monday Night Raw battle royal that closed the show and wreaked havoc on Wade Barrett:

“The Raw Battle Royal was a war zone and goes to show the sacrifices made to be the best. But I AM THE BEST IN THE WORLD! See u next wk Punk.”

In addition to Wade Barrett’s elbow injury, the #1 Contender’s Battle Royal for a WWE Championship title shot against CM Punk at WrestleMania 28 featured Dolph Ziggler flying chin-first into the announce table, Santino getting whipped around pretty good, and other chaotic / dangerous moments that just seemed a little too close for comfort throughout the match.

I have to admit, I was getting a bit nervous watching that one.

Apparently no one really got out of that match unscathed. Cody and Truth got banged up along with Kofi but nothing serious.

Yeah I hadn’t seen a WWE match that crazy in terms of bumps nearly gone wrong in a long time, perhaps the Chamber took a lot out of everyone the night before so their timing was just off and they were all exhausted…

Yeah that match was certainly a war zone. I think the mess of the pay per view from the night before and the fact Kingston, Truth and Marella already worked that night didn’t help matters. By the end it was just downright scary and was just glad when the match was finally over.

Exactly Mark, it was pretty crazy and you could tell the timing was just off all the way around…
