by Matthew Harrak on March 10, 2012

Last night at a Pro Wrestling Superstars show in Rahway, NJ, former ECW, WWE and TNA star Jerry Lynn announced his retirement at the end of 2012. Lynn, who is 48 years old, mentioned he made this decision due to injuries.

Lynn started wrestling in the 80s on the independent level and worked all over the world, with his best success in ECW during his feud with Rob Van Dam and winning the ECW title.

I actually like Lynn. At least he’s getting out while he still can.

I personally never got into this guy at all. But, he definitely seems to have a consistent, loyal fanbase since most conversations my opinion of him is in the minority.. So, if that many people see something in the guy, maybe he can help with behind the scenes stuff or managing.
