Sid Vicious No-Shows Main Event Match Against Matt Hardy
by Matthew Harrak on March 10, 2012

In a main event match advertised for week for Pro Wrestling Syndicate in Rahway, NJ, Matt Hardy was scheduled to face Sid Vicious.

At the beginning of the show, the promoter of PWS told the audience that Sid did not even board his flight and was not going to be at the event. He then decided to call Sid from the middle of the ring and leave a voicemail of the complaints and boos of the more than 800 people in attendance. To add a little more insult to injury, the promoter then gave out Sid’s cellphone number so they could personally call him to express their anger.

Later in the night Matt Hardy did participate in the main event, wrestling Jay Lethal who was impersonating Sid Vicious, even cutting Sid-esque promos.

He gave out Sid’s cellphone number? That is gold! And kudos to Matt Hardy for turning up, and to Jay Lethal for probably giving the crowd a better main event than they would have had otherwise.
