YouTube.com uploader “badassbr” has posted videos of the incident in Brazil that has forced the WWE to suspend main eventer Chris Jericho indefinitely.

Quick Quip: Just your typical wrestling heel move. Just wrong place, wrong time I guess.

I’m finally getting around to this. This is pretty funny.

Truthfully, Starcade could have something here. Jericho has had a LOT of incidents over the years. He’s not off the rails or anything like Kurt Angle or Jeff Hardy, and I doubt any kind of substances are involved, but the guy has had enough “incidents” outside the ring that it’s pretty safe to call him a dick. That could also be what he wants though, given that he’s always playing the heel.

Wherever the axe falls on that issue though, it doesn’t sound like Jericho was being a dick HERE, per se. It sounds like he was trying to be a really dick-ish heel but neglected to look up how seriously they take that sort of thing in Brazil, and, more importantly, whether or not it’s legal. So I suspect this is less a case of him being a dick and more a case of him not thinking ahead.

Anyway, this turns out to be basically nothing, as by “indefinitely”, WWE apparently meant “30 days”.

Doesn’t Brazil have a pro-Chavez/anti-USA government now? This incedent won’t be brought up. Connecticut voters will be too busy watching campaign ads of Louie Spicolli trying to find his hotel room.
