WWE Title Unification Plans?

Numerous reports are circulating that the WWE is currently considering the idea of unifying the Intercontinental and United States title.

There has been no talk or plans of merging the WWE championship and World Heavyweight Title as they feel they need one of each of the championships with the seperate touring groups.
