New WWE Championship Debuting Soon

The WWE is designing a new WWE Championship that will replace the Spinner Title. CM Punk speculates that the title will début soon, with the soonest being at Night of Champions. A preview of the belt can be viewed here .

My Two Cents: The belt looks cool, I guess. I think many fans will be happy that they are finally getting rid of the Spinner Championship. It did over stay its welcome and resembled a toy instead of something that seemed precious. Even though it fit John Cena’s old character, it looked strange on someone like Triple H, who probably never listen to a rap song in his life. The new one looks at least looks like it will fit anyone who wins it, and I hope they don’t just change the belt just for the sake of doing it. They could do something like Punk introducing a new title because he’s stick of holding one that resembles Cena.

That picture certainly isn’t the finished article, and it looks more like a side adornment in any case. There’s no room for a name-plate, for one thing. Perhaps the centerpiece will be a similar shape, but I don’t think that’s any reason to get upset. I’m sure we’ll all be suitably impressed when the entire thing is unveiled.

In my opinion, it doesn’t look bad at all. Of course, people are going to think they could have done a better job, but there are always going to be people who think that way. Without a doubt, it is already better looking than the Spinner Belt. And yes, I do believe you are correct. It more-so looks like the side of the belt. I do believe they will add much more coloring to it than that. We’ll just have to wait and see.

I just don’t understand the mentality of not having your championships be credible, it bugs the hell out of me. It’s just another variable that’s been removed from booking now.

I pity the writers. They’re trying to make lemonade with apples. It’s a sanitized product that treats the belts as a prop. I think we should admire them when they think of doing something decent due to all the restrictions.
