In case you missed this one, Vince signed up for a Twitter account on Monday. He’s been extremely active following people back and sending reply messages. His handle is WWEVinceMcMahon, and only time will tell who is actually behind the account. I’m doubtful that Vince is sitting with the Twitter web client sending messages to fans, but odder things have happened.
The return of one of the greatest of all time, RAW in Canada, booing all the right people and more from the 12/22/08 edition of Monday Night RAW.
Don’t question a heart prepared to die!
It’s Tuesday! It’s Blatt! It’s ECW!
An odd show, but we’re continuing on towards some ongoing feuds. Will Chase Stevens ever make an impact outside of the canvas? We’ll find out!
We have a new ECW champion, but will that means a tangible change in the show? We’ll find out. We’re a few days removed from Unforgiven and the championship scramble.
John Morrison vs. Evan Bourne
Jack Swagger vs. Josh Daniels
Updates are in EXTREEM ITALICS
It’s clear that the creative team had nothing for ECW this week except a plan for this main event, but this happens once a month before the PPV. They forget that ECW has story lines and only push one match, leaving the rest for jobbing.
Ricky Ortiz vs a red shirt
Super Crazy vs a red shirt
Tommy Dreamer, Evan Bourne, Matt Hardy and Finlay vs Chavo Guerrero, Mark Henry, Miz and Morrison
Guess what? ECW gets to have a Championship Scramble match too, and tonight, we’ll decide the participants.
Hardy vs. Morrison
Bourne vs The Miz
Dreamer vs Chavo
Finlay vs Knox
The winners go on to the Championship Scramble.
So is Matt Striker replacing Tazz? Did I miss that announcement? Tonight is a rematch from Summerslam because that match ended before anyone could figure out why.
Matt Hardy vs Mark Henry
Ricky Ortiz vs Gavin Spears
Dreamer, Super Crazy and Bourne vs Chavo, Miz and Morrison
DON’T QUESTION THE FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE!
Tommy Dreamer vs. Colin Delaney
Finlay vs. Armando Estrada
Bam Neely vs. Evan Bourne
Matt Hardy and Mark Henry vs The Douches
We’re rebounding from a less than stellar ECW last week, so let’s see if the writing team and wrestlers can pick up the pace a bit this week. Also, a NEW ANNOUNCER IN ECW. Click through to find out who it is.
Chavo Guerrero vs. Ricky Ortiz
Miz and Morrison vs. Finlay and Hornswoggle
Colin Delaney vs. Matt Hardy
Miss me? This one is completely forgettable, but started strong.
Tommy Dreamer vs. Colin Delaney
Evan Bourne vs. James Curtis
The Miz vs. Finlay vs. Morrison vs. Hardy
Tonight’s show debuts another new wrestler, a legend returns and we get an overall pleasing show.
Finlay vs. The Miz
Braden Walker vs Armando Estrada (Walker is a VERY familiar face, trust me)
Nunzio vs. Evan Bourne
Tommy Dreamer vs. Mark Henry
Oh look! A video package about Mark Henry winning the ECW championship. Thanks WWE.
Hardy, Horny and Finlay vs. Chavo and the Douches
Armando Estrada vs. Atlas Ortiz (new guy)
Mark Henry vs. Colin Delaney
This is the last show until Night of Champions, but somehow I think we’re going to wind up focusing on the “accident” from last night. Lots of people who are no longer show on the show tonight. Everyone who was drafted away is on the show. Let’s just pretend it’s like old times! This one was a good show, worth watching.
Deconstructing the Moveset is back for a one night only analysis of the Million Dollar Ending. Here are five points about the ending we all should have seen coming.
Paul! Paul! I can’t feel my legs!
What’s gonna happen to ECW with a new GM? What’s gonna happen to one of the last ECW’s that tapes along with Smackdown instead of RAW?
DON’T QUESTION THE FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE!
With a few days left to One Night Stand, ECW turns on the promotion machine for the Singapore cane match, and also manages to churn out a great program. Kofi vs. Knox, Punk vs Chavo, Kane vs the Douches and Dreamer vs Big Show.
Episode 102 of ECW and we’re two weeks away from One Night Stand/Judgement Day 2… Matches include Kane vs. The Miz, Kofi Kingston vs. Shelton Benjamin. Kelly and Colin vs. Layla and Knox, Colin vs. Armando and Dreamer & Punk vs Chavo & Morrison.
Welcome to ECW #101. Hopefully 101 means we’re going back to ECW basics and we’re gonna see some blood, some fire and some weapons. Somehow, I think we’re seeing more of the same.
“I’m as good as Jim Ross is, and one day I will take over his spot on Raw. As for walking off ECW, I’ll make a statement about that tomorrow night on ECW on Sci Fi’s 100th episode.” -Mike Adamle
All this and more on a very special BLATT vs. ECW.
This was the weirdest show that ECW has ever had. I couldn’t make up a weirder show if I tried. The main event was fought with no announcers and that’s just the beginning.
ECW.com says:
Just 24 hours after exchanging blows with Edge in a massive Eight-Man Tag Match on Raw, ECW Champion Kane makes a special appearance on The Cutting Edge on ECW on Sci Fi. Will Kane bring hell’s fire to the Rated-R Superstar’s doorstep?
The brothers of destruction re-unite tonight to take on the tag team champions, there’s an 8-man tag match, a dance off and Colin Delaney. It’s ECW from London.
Welcome back to Tuesday Night ECW on SciFi.
CM Punk vs. The Miz
Elijah Burke vs. Nunzio
Kofi Kingston vs. Domino
Colin Delaney vs. Tommy Dreamer
The last time Kane was a world champion, he was under a mask. Mick Foley had taken a dive off the top of a steel cage a few minutes before. Ken Shamrock was the King of the Ring. Owen Hart was alive. Nowadays, things are a bit different. How will my favorite wrestling show fare with my favorite big guy as the champ? Let’s find out.
DON’T QUESTION THE FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE!
Elijah Burke vs. Kane
Kofi Kingston vs. James Curtis
The Douches (Miz and Morrison) and Shelton Benjamin vs. CM Punk, Jesse and Festus
Colin Delaney vs. Chavo Guerrero
So this week we are pitting Jake Mulligan up against Big Andy Mac. Jake’s speciality, as his archive will show you, is Japan and Andy’s is Ring of Honor. My specialty is ECW, so we have a pretty varied crowd with us today. Our questions are about Wrestlemania, the X Division, Puro Stars, MCM in [...]
It’s another Tuesday, and it’s four more primaries.
Who cares! It’s Tuesday and it’s ECW time!
Tommy Dreamer and Colin Delaney vs. the Douches
Shelton Benjamin vs. Stevie Richards
James Curtis vs. Kane
CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.
We’ve got a three way main event delivers tonight folks. Strap it in, cause it’s Tuesday night and it’s time to get extreme, or some reasonable facsimile.
Kelly Kelly and Dee Jay from Super Street Fighter II Turbo vs. Santino Marella and Layla
Stevie Richards vs Mike Knox
Tommy Dreamer and Colin Delaney vs. The Douches
CM Punk vs. [...]
Still no SciFi in HD in Connecticut.Of course this means that the McMahons don’t get SciFi in HD if they have cable either. I doubt that they have cable, but if they did, they don’t get their own programming in HD. I hate the Dolan family.
We open the show with a video package looking back [...]
No intro video today.
It currently looks like it’s gonna be McCain vs Clinton come November. Not terribly exciting. BLATT vs ECW can make an official endorsement tonight. BLATT vs ECW endorses Barak Obama. I’d also liek to retract any endorsement that I’ve ever had of White Castle. That story is for another day.
DON’T QUESTION THE [...]
We start with the reminder of how CM Punk lost the ECW title last week. I kinda wish he would have lost fair and square, but if this leads to a Punk vs. Edge program, I’m okay with that. We’ll see with time I guess.
DON’T QUESTION THE FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE!
That new set is ginormous. [...]
So my TiVo crapped out again for the second time in two Tuesdays and I missed whatever happened at the show’s opening. The show’s presented in HD for the first time, but my box ain’t working, so it’s just regular D for me.
Shelton Benjamin wins the Over the Top Rope Chalenge
Here are the entrants:
Kane
The Miz
Juice [...]
DON’T QUESTION THE FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE!
No video package to start the episode. We’re “live” from Wilkes-Barres. As if the story hasn’t dragged on long enough, tonight we’re having a “dance off” between Layla and Kelly Kelly. That’s kinda funny, because if you go back and read my coverage of Extreme Expose (referred to as [...]
Welcome to the show. We recap the CM Punk vs. MVP match. I missed it, and still haven’t seen it, but the editors at the WWE made it look pretty good. I like the ending, even if it does make CM Punk look a little weak in the process. Chavo in ECW is a nice [...]
December 6th
Alright, another week and this time Inside Pulse isn’t having a heart attack. I’m going to be posting live before last week’s results. Tonight we’re promised a match between CM Punk and Mark Henry OR Big Daddy V. Yikes.
Thanks to an issue with my TiVo box, we’re joining the Major Brothers vs. The Miz [...]
Here’s a letter from Brad:
“This whole talent exchange thing is a load of crap if you ask me.”
I’m looking on the bright side and hoping it leads to some interesting matches on Tuesdays and ultimately gives us Finlay vs. Punk. Or Mysterio vs. Punk. Or anyone but the guys who were chosen to fight him [...]
Okay, so I was gone for two weeks and we’re going to have a match between Kane, Big Daddy V, the Great Khali and Mark Henry? Oh dear God. How did I get so lucky? I’m being punished for missing the shows, I know it.
DON’T QUESTION THE FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE!
ECW is [...]
I was in Disney World this weekend and got home this afternoon, and my DVR completely was filled up with the wife’s episodes of the Today show and I missed RAW. Apparently I missed quite a fun time. The ending’s spoiled for me, but I’ve got the show for watching tomorrow morning. [...]
So let’s get ready for some “extreme” wrestling!
We’re starting with…. Vince McMahon? Yeah. Vince McMahon. Maybe he’ll announce that Jericho is going to return to ECW. And perhaps the WWE will start showing Chris Benoit matches again. Vince is all business, he’s announcing that Cena’s injury required surgery to repair [...]
Alright, let’s start this bitch, shall we?
Jump right into the music this week. DON’T QUESTION THE FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE. And I bit my tongue so hard that I bled and developed scabs. That shit hurts.
Okay, so we’re starting with the triple threat. It’s a fatal three-way.
Tommy Dremaer and Elijah Burke [...]
